Tuco looked up at the moon.
He remembered that time, long ago,
when there were people on the moon.
Now an astrophysicist thinks it might be possible
for people to travel to another solar system,
a journey of six years.
Ray Bradbury
must be proud.
The idea, though, is to hedge our bets,
we humans. Not have everyone on one rock
but some on another.
If one rock splats, then there is the other
to carry on.
The obstacle of space
becomes the stepping stone
to another stone.
Coyoté must be proud.

"I'll give you the
world of tomorrow, Alice –
you're goin' to the moon!"
Coyoté looked
up at the moon.
He remembered that time, long ago,
when he'd howl at its sight.
Now he wonders about how it'd feel
to bound across its face.
The idea, though, is to hedge our bets.
So we don't have everyone on one rock
but some on another.
If one rock splats, then there is the other
to carry on.
The obstacle of space
becomes the stepping stone
to another stone.
Coyoté's mind races at the thought.
Why, he thought, why just to the moon?
Kramden
planned trips to the moon decades ago.
Further, he thought, further!
Some rock further away...
the world of tomorrow.
Kramden must be proud.
