The most important thing in communication
is hearing what isn't said.

The only thing more difficult than finding a needle in a haystack
is finding a needle in a needle stack.

Stumbling on Happiness

XXXIV

Tuco considered the mindfulness of mistakes.
The dance required to move forward
by stumbling
over the bricks
we've strewn in the dark.

Or the bricks we've hidden
by painting them invisible.

It's not all our fault, he had to admit that.
Typhoons build on their own
beyond the horizon.
Or some German creative engineer builds cyclones
four stories high for the local civic center attraction.
Glass walled, fanned mist vented above.

Why?

Because.

Because we need mistakes.
The dance required to move forward
by stumbling
again
and again.

Its a test of our nature.
Living depends on it
to prevent
the blindness of knowing.
