where beginning is conceivable

“We must all begin where beginning is conceivable.”

I

Tuco was reading about prosperity principles.
And not sure what that might mean
when he came across a phrase that caught his imagination:
"We must begin where beginning is conceivable."

He knew the question was circular.
How do we conceive beginning without it being conceivable?

Perhaps he was becoming old and cyncial.
But he doubted that. It was not his nature.
But consideration of concepts was a familiar activity
and these positive vibes rang false.

Then he came across a key redefinition:
"Prosperity is as aptly measured in love, friendship, and
personal fulfillment as in gold or fame."
Well, that's different.

Tuco prodded his horse to begin the descent down the hill.
The shadows grow and he wants to be home by dark.
Is there one prosperity, he wondered.
Or more than one. Why does... how does gold and fame link
to love and friendship? Do they need to? No
there is other measures for each and no true North pulling them
together.

Why else the long days of wealth building leading to more
long days
to maintain, to isolate the effort
from the joy it was planned to bring.

The beginning is conceivable
the planned ending too
but less certain.
