Seven Falls
Bear Canyon, Santa Catalinas
Tucson, Arizona

Moss clings to the rock.

Twenty feet above the falls
grass grows out of crevices,
pebbles pool in shallow bowls.

The falls are a sea,
steady, rushing in,
rushing
down to its brother,
its sisters.

To its mother
constant
in her faith
that all will return.
