The Assent of Owl

Coyote whispers quietly into the ear of Owl
We must move this mountain, he says
But why, Owl replies, it seems happy here

Ah, says Coyote, it is
But the shadowed river is old
It gets cranky these cold mornings

Well, let it head south then
Owl turns large eyes on Coyote
says, you sure you don't just wanna scare the rabbits

Coyote smiles
Owl blinks
They move the mountain.
